Your gift matters

We have a rich tradition of Women’s Basketball at Western University with 14 All-Canadians, 10 OUA MVPs, 78 OUA All-Stars, 22 OUA All-Rookie team members and numerous other national and provincial awards. Your donation to Women's Basketball helps provide our team the resources to recruit and develop every player so they can excel on the court and in the classroom.

This year’s team returns our top 7 players in minutes played, welcomes back our second leading scorer from the 2022-23 season (missed 2023-24 due to injury) and has one of the top recruiting classes in Ontario. The future is bright for Western Women’s Basketball, but we need your help! Fundraising dollars go towards scholarships, pre-season travel, team gear, assistant coaches, recruiting, mental performance and so much more.

Your donations could be used for the following:

$50 – heart rate monitor to track an athlete’s well-being.
$100 – hotel room for pre-season travel.
$250 – healthy meal after an away game.
$500 – bring in a top-level U SPORTs team to play in the pre-season.

Every dollar counts! Gifts of all sizes are important and go directly towards helping student-athletes succeed.

MacKeely Shantz – OUA First Team All-Star, 438 Points – 2nd All Time Western (single season), 206 Rebounds – 2nd All Time Western (single season)
Emily Capretta, 48 Three-point shots made – 4th All Time Western (single season)
Avarie Thomas – Purple Blanket Award, also member of Western Women’s Soccer
Leslie Kelley – Purple Blanket Award, Assistant Coach and member of Western Women’s Rowing
11-11 League Record (5th straight season at 0.500 or above), 53-27 over the last 5 seasons (league record)
